Board Member Training
Security awareness training for board members on cyber risk oversight, governance questions and accountability.
Board member training helps directors oversee cyber risk the way they oversee financial or legal risk: by knowing what questions to ask, what a good answer looks like and where their own accountability lies. It is not technical training. It is a short, plain-language briefing on how attacks affect organizations like yours, how the program is governed and what the board should expect to see and approve.
It matters because boards are increasingly expected to show that they understood cyber risk and acted on it. Directors who have never been briefed either defer entirely to management or ask for reassurance rather than evidence. A trained board asks better questions, sets clearer expectations for management and makes decisions about risk appetite and investment with open eyes.
Start with a single session of no more than an hour, built around the risks that matter most to your organization and the decisions the board actually owns. Give directors a short list of standing questions and a reporting format they will see again. Joe can help you shape the briefing; the board’s obligations are a matter for its own advisers.
