Evidence Collector
Collect and organize control evidence for audits, assessments and customer security reviews.
An evidence collector is a working register of the artefacts that show a control operates: configuration exports, access reviews, training records, tickets, approvals and screenshots, each tied to the control it supports and the period it covers. It is how you answer “show me” without a scramble.
It matters because audits, assessments and customer security reviews all ask the same question in different words, and the same evidence usually answers all three. Collecting it once, naming it consistently and recording who reviewed it saves weeks each cycle and shows a program that runs continuously rather than one assembled the week before the assessor arrives.
Start with the controls you are asked about most often. For each, write down what evidence would satisfy a reasonable reviewer, where it lives, who produces it and how often. Then collect one period’s worth and note what was hard to find. Joe can help you build the map and the naming conventions; the evidence itself comes from your systems and your people.
